Serve as a nurse extender through the provision of care to patients across the life continuum. Serve as a clinical partner to the surgical team by supporting operations that will increase efficiency and effectiveness of the department. Provide a safe environment for patients, staff and physicians by maintaining the organization of equipment, supplies and environment. This job is responsible for performing a range of self-directed support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative areas. Work involves inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, reassembling, and maintaining operating room and equipment. Assist in maintaining a clean, sanitary, orderly Perioperative environment. Transport non-monitored patients to and from nursing units.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR certification prior to employment or within one month of employment
