The Physician Assistant under the direction of the supervising Physician, is responsible for providing age specific clinical evaluations, assesses problems, initiates diagnostic and treatment plans, and educates patients presenting for care. Performs emergency intervention and patient triage. Complies with all rules and regulations of the appropriate licensing board and maintains continuing medical education. By the end of the first year, employee requires M.D. consultation less than 40% of time on Patient Management activities. Job also includes patient advocacy, teaching, performance improvement, leadership and professional development and other duties assigned by supervising physician, as outlined by the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners.
• Graduate of Accredited Physician Assistant Program and certification
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) and ACLS certification
• Applicant must have a minimum 5+ years of HIV/AIDs direct patient care experience working in a mid-level capacity
