Purchasing/Materials Managmnt

SUMMARY 

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for leading and procuring  a wide range of  supplies, equipment, materials and services in a service oriented, yet authoritative and professional manner; consistent with group purchasing and other contracts, cost containment goals, and continuous quality improvements.  Daily transactions include order entry, placement, confirmation and expediting; EDI, GHX transactions and accounts payable interface for invoice resolution.


QUALIFICATIONS 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Engineering with one-year procurement experience or Associate’s degree with 3 years of experience in procurement
• Knowledge of requisition policies and procedures
• Must be computer literate and have knowledge of computerized spreadsheets, word processing, and data base management
